Two toned wedding bands are usually a mix of 10 karat, 14 karat, or 18 karat gold and platinum. There are some bands that are a little different but that is what most of them are made of. Sometimes they are a mixture of white and yellow gold too. A white and yellow gold ring will actually fade a lot over time so it isn’t recommended to go with that combination. A very good attribute of two tone rings is that the white and yellow really compliments each other. This makes for a very handsome ring.
Lately 10 karat and 14 karat yellow gold rings are being mixed with palladium rings. These are more cost effective than mixing them with the most expensive metal, platinum. If these rings look good to you then it is wise to pick that for your wedding band. You will be wearing it until death does you part and so you don’t want to look at something you don’t really like.
