Where Was I?

I was in a room preparing myself for an interview; we were called to be there at 8:00 a.m., I was hoping I could get the job. The interview was whole day so after I was passed with the first one, I was noted to be there in the afternoon after lunch. I’ve met a batch mate there from college, so since we don’t know anyone there, we agreed to have lunch in the restaurant nearby. I guess that was 11:00 a.m., when I noticed the news on TV, actually I thought it was not a news, I thought it was a trailer of a movie, which the scene were two buildings was hit by a plane. Only then I realized that it was real, the twin towers in New York slowly collapsed after the attack and there were a lot of people out there crying and begging for help.

Actually, I already had watched that news the night before the day on my interview but I just ignored it and went to bed. I never really thought it was real but then when I realized that it actually happened, I just couldn’t believe, how could anyone have the conscience to do that? Many died on the attack, many were affected and the discrimination was rising.

It has been 11 years and yet the pain for those families who have lost their love ones because of the attack still there. I guess it doesn’t heal at all, I guess many were still on grief whenever they remember it.

I pray for the souls and for all the families who were greatly affected.
